I really don't like Holden. He talks about how everyone is a phony, but he is one himself. Like we discussed in class he acts like he doesn't care yet he still became the fencing manager.
As for Salinger, I really like the way he writes. I find it easier to follow the the constant flow of holden's thinking rather than a writing style that is from an outside point of view because you don't find confusing transitions when it is one steady line of thought. Plus he thinks like I do so it is easy to follow.

Maybe he hates in others, what he knows is true about himself. That he is, in fact, the biggest phony and most hypocritical person in the whole book. Ponder that.
