Morrie Movie Assignment

To me the movie and book are completely different, but the interview is close to what is said in the book. It seemed a lot like the movie was taking what was done and the book and trying to make it more interesting (failing horribly), then sprinkling in little parts of the book to make it more authentic. Such as the breath test. In the book they talked about the test for a little while before doing it but in the movie they just threw it in.

Unlike the movie, the interview did help me. It gave me a better idea of what Morrie was like. It also gave me a visual I can use when reading.

Morrie Interview

After watching the Morrie Schwartz interview I was shocked. If I wasn't told before hand I wouldn't have known that Morrie was dying. Even though he was facing death he seemed even more alive than I feel.
Morrie's intelligence level and selflessness is astonishing. Most people would cower away at the thought that they were going to die, and the people that don't sit around withering away usually go and do a bunch of things on their "bucket list". But instead, Morrie used his intelligence and insight to give useful advice to the people around world, and I find that amazing.
